Dr. Jeff Lichtman at Harvard University is trying to understand how brains work. To that end he is building a color-coded three-dimensional map from scans of paper-thin slices of a mouse brain.
“You’ve got to see the wires. You just have to see them, and you have to see where they come from, where they go and what they connect with,” Lichtman said of the project. Color paves the way!
